Objective
To capture and produce a video using drone filming. Bewl Water is a reservoir located in west Kent on the Kent/Sussex border. The reservoir as well as providing water to communities throughout the county is also an extensive activity centre. Activities include: sailing, canoeing, open water swimming, laser tag and fishing!
Process
The brief involved arriving at the shoreline for when the fishermen were due to arrive back at the pontoon. Conditions were right in so much as the previous week we had storms and naturally totally incompatible with flying. A fairly flat grey day, however, we didn’t have problems with the position of the sun. Grey days have some benefits!
We needed to capture the expanse of Bewl Water as well as the boat activity; arriving back and capturing the essence of what it’s like to fish at this beautiful location.
We used a Mavic DJI Pro II with Hasselblad lens and Adobe Premier software for the edit. This short video is being used for the promotional activity of Bewl Water.
