The Beekeeper

Rob talks us through beekeeping on the Kent and Sussex borders. He loves the whole dynamic of bees and how a bee colony functions and its fine complexities.  Bees form a symbiosis between us and our food source.  The honey harvested varies throughout the honey season; spring, early summer and late summer, which is reflected in style and richness.

Filming beekeeping meant that wearing a beekeeper’s suit was necessary, which was a little challenging because it was right in the middle of a heatwave!  Without question, the honey is second to none. We returned to capture honey spinning and Rob’s voice-over.
