Overview

A short film commissioned by Spa Communications to be shot on location at University College Dublin to capture the story and case study of the re-architecture data centre and upgrade of the cooling systems at the university using Schneider Electric and Total Power Solutions infrastructure and technologies.

Objective

To film and produce a video that is succinct with an approximate duration of 70s in length, requiring views of the data centre and its location with some detailed shots and using VO rather than an interview piece to camera.

Process

The crew arrived the day before filming in Dublin.   B-Roll was captured throughout the day at the university site to demonstrate the setting.  The majority of the filming was carried out inside the data centre using a Canon R5 and Gimbal which provided flexibility and extended movements.  In addition, we used a Canon C300 for static filming.  For the edit, it was decided that a VO would work well for this video which we overlaid.

Outcome

A concise video that communicates all necessary information in an aesthetic way that was produced to the deadline for the client to share on their platforms and used as a communication tool.
